Readers-

Which are your favorite fandoms to read? Transformers, Justice League primarily. Though I do occasionally read Predators/Aliens, Mighty Ducks to name a few.

Where do you go to find fanfiction? Fanfiction.net most of the time. It's very easy to find what you're looking for most of the time. I do visit Archive of Our Own to find some stuff, though I don't have an account on there. And sometimes, not often I may search livejournal.

What do you look for when choosing fics to read?  Whatever catches my eye at the time, I guess. I like to look for certain characters if possible. If the summary catches my curiosity, I'll check it out.

How picky are you in what you choose to read? I'm not a real picky person. As long as the grammar/spelling is decent and the story/characters interesting (by the first chapter preferably) I'll give it a shot.

What are your favorite genres to read? What is not my favorite genre? I love humor (the good humor, not: character A gets pushed down the stairs, humor), I like the typical general story, family, romance...anything really.

Which genres/tropes do you avoid? For genres...horror. I love the horror genre in movies and stuff, but usually the horror genre I may find in my usual reads aren't very good and very boring. So I don't actively search for stuff under the horror category especially for stuff like Justice League and Transformers. I prefer the visual stuff in regards with horror instead of written.

As for tropes. Mary Sues. Really bad Mary Sues. I do like stories that are parodies of Sue fics, but I haven't seen too many of those around.

Do prefer to read long chapter stories or one shots? I read both. I do have a personal preference to chapter stories, but I'm not crazy about the really short one shots. Unless they're suppose to be drabbles.

How much fanfiction do you read on average? I do still read fanfics, but not as avidly as I did before. Usually, I like to review stories that I do read, but I have not been reviewing a whole lot as of late.

Any favorite/least favorite tropes you constantly see in your fandoms? Least favorite: OOC of a character. Teenager or 20 something year old OC having a romantic relationship with Optimus Prime. Please at least be in the late 30s the youngest! It's just creepy to me otherwise.

Favorite: I do have a huge soft spot for a person of our world some how gets transferred to a world where said fanfic takes place in.

Any turn offs that might- or have- caused you to stop reading a fic?

--> Vigilante/Shining Knight slash fics.<-- This bothers the HELL out of me the most. They're best friends, not lovers. This is the main thing that really bothers me. A lot of the writing of this is poorly done too. It's all ooey gooey... Just no.

Stories with no paragraphs at all. Everything is combined into one huge blob. It literally hurts my eyes. It's a shame really, from what little I can read the story itself sounds good, but I can't read on.

Any fics (not written by you) you would recommend to other readers?

Justice League:

Writers-

What caused you to start writing fanfiction? I've always loved writing and telling stories. I've always kept a small notebook and wrote little stories. After my friend showed me ff.net, I wanted to join the fanfiction community.

How long have you been writing fanfiction? Online: Since 2006 Offline: A few years before even that. I have a small notebook and lined paper stapled together of fanfics that I made (which will never see the light of the internet cause they're bad. XD ) Though I may post one as a 'how not to write a fanfic'.

Which fandoms have you written for in the past 5 years? Justice League and Transformers.

What's the first fandom you ever wrote for? Justice League

What are your favorite genres to write? Humor, family/friendship are my personal favorites.

How much time do you spend writing fanfics? Not as often as i should. I have unpublished fanfics I am working on, on and off along with my other stories, but otherwise I've been terrible.

Do you prefer to write one shots or chapter fics? I like writing both, but I think I am better off writing a good length one shot due to my "superior" updating skills.

What story aspects do you find to be difficult to write? Action. I don't think I'm bad at action, but I don't think my action scenes can be as good as I can make them. Besides, I'm more of a 'talkie'/character development person.

What is the easiest thing to write? Dialogue. I love character interaction! I feel that that's what helps give a fanfic or, any story, depth.

Is there a fandom you haven't written for but want to? Mummies Alive, The Mighty Ducks(TAS) to name a couple.

What do you consider your greatest strength as a writer? My creativity and good humor. Putting emotion into a story whether it's happiness or sadness. And interesting ideas.

Greatest weakness? My updating skills. Keeping that fire going.

As a fanfic writer, how important is canon or keeping in character to you? Very important. People want to read a story about there favorite character being in character within a certain situation and how they would act. They don't want to read a fic with Batman being all upbeat and happy with no given reason, or Optimus Prime being a total jerk to his soldiers. I know I wouldn't want to read that.

Unless the story itself is one of those slapstick comedies. In that case, I'm fine with most hijinks. Cause it's suppose to be that way.

AUs: love them or hate them? Why? It depends. If it's a slight AU then I'm normally fine with it, but if it's a complete 180...it's got to be done well. I like the idea of an alternate universe, but what it all comes down to is the execution.

Tell us where we can find your fanfics. www.fanfiction.net/u/1005655/T…

Awesome, a Justice League fan! I absolutely love JLU.  I thought it was an amazing show.

And I totally agree with the teenagers dating Optimus Prime. I'm not opposed to Mary Sue pairings but Optimus and teenage girls feels a bit statutory rape-ish. Let him go for older WOMEN please. I like to keep Optimus classy.
